Katie and Lucy Chat to Author A.J West

This week's Slinky By Tuesday podcast is a first for us, we are joined by our first ever Slinky guest. Katie and Lucy chat to author, presenter and journalist A.J West.

A.J West has had an award winning career as a producer and a reporter on BBC radio 1 and 2, with the BBC network television, national newspapers and magazines, he is a best-selling author, you might recognise him from appearing on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show and back in 2016 went into the Big Brother House where he finished 4th.

He has written two books, his debut "The Spirit Engineer" and then last year he released "The Betrayal of Thomas True", which was Katie's favourite book of 2024! She harassed Lucy until she read it too - Lucy loved and now they both habitually harass their other friends to read it too.

In a fan girl moment, Katie contacted Andy on Instagram and asked if he would come on the podcast and have a chat, to her delight he said yes!

So on this week's podcast, they chat about everything from what inspired AJ to write the books, his writing process, his new book and where did he get the inspiration for the phrase "Always Together"?
