👑 From Flamingo Room to Queendom: Home Renovation with Character
This week, Katie’s been knee-deep in a bold decorating project. The iconic Flamingo Room (RIP) has officially been transformed into The Queendom, inspired by her obsession with Six the Musical. The walls? Drenched in a rich emerald shade called Emerald Glade. The technique? Colour drenching. The execution? Not by Katie or Lucy, thankfully – shout out to decorator extraordinaire and friend Alison, who rescued the vision from potential disaster.
Home renovation tip: If you’re the world’s worst decorator (Lucy’s words), maybe call in a mate. Or at least don’t start on the ceiling after two Malbecs and a showtunes playlist.
🛠️ Our Worst DIY Fail? Welcome to The Lady Cabin
The Lady Cabin (the edited highlights it includes - Auntie Joyce, Pinterest, and Idris Elba) was meant to be a cosy summerhouse. Instead, it became the scene of one of our worst decorating experiences to date. Trivial Pursuit-shaped ceiling segments, heatstroke, and a soundtrack of musical megamixes couldn’t save us. The result? A wonky paint job, some fictional boyfriend scapegoats, and the conclusion that we are not the DIY queens we thought we were.
😂 Greg Davies Live – Why We’re Obsessed
We’ve now seen Greg Davies live four times. From tiny Nottingham clubs to the Motorpoint Arena, he never disappoints. This week we were lucky enough to see him again and the show was just as epic as ever – sharp, heartfelt, and hilarious. We even got nostalgic about the time we accidentally recreated a Queen Bohemian Rhapsody album cover with him after a gig.

🧼 Worst Job of the Week: The Car Wash Chronicles
Between heatwaves and the Lincolnshire Show, our car Stacey (named after Stacey Solomon) was in desperate need of a wash. Car wash etiquette? Questionable. Car wash man? Grumpy. Our reaction? Song and sarcasm. You can’t beat a podcast where pooper scooping, vehicle hygiene, and fictional boyfriends are all part of the storyline.
