Podcast number 7 - museums, the Blue Lagoon and Iceland.
My Christmas pressie this year from Lucy was a weekend away to Iceland, where the focus of the trip was visiting the Blue Lagoon, something I've always wanted to do.
Although we didn't have much time there, we figured we would try and squeeze in as many things as we could - well it wouldn't be a Trinder adventure if we didn't end up with heartbeats in our feet, a stack of souvenirs and a Facebook friend request from someone we met in a bar.
Iceland was slightly different. Our hotel was .... and I'm not sure they used this on the website, but it was in the arsehole end of nowhere. A 5 minute walk away was a street that had a supermarket, that didn't sell alcohol, a souvenir shop, a burger bar called "2 Guys" and a food market which sold all kinds of different foods and their cheapest bottle of wine was £60.
As we stood waiting for our cases at Keflavik Airport, I spotted a sign for a "Penis Museum", pointing it out to Lucy, we giggled and decided we probably wouldn;t have time to visit. As we mulled over our options as to how we could while away the hours until we went to the Blue Lagoon, we decided that we should definitely visit the Penis Museum.
So that's what we did, but did we buy anything in the gift shop? Did we learn anything? And which REALLY famous celebrity has a plastercast of his penis in the museum?
Find out on this week's podcast what we thought and why this is the only decent picture of us at the Blue Lagoon.
